HivePulse and GrowerSense are transforming how commercial growers manage pollination performance through our Pollination Assurance platform. We help growers, pack houses, and exporters reduce risk, improve yield outcomes, and make pollination measurable and accountable.
We are looking for a senior commercial-agri sales professional to lead the market rollout of Pollination Assurance in South Africa.
This is a revenue-generating role with real pipeline ownership. It is not a brand marketing position.

The Opportunity
You will own the full commercial cycle from prospecting and discovery through paid pilot programs and annual subscriptions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building from zero, engaging directly with growers, and closing meaningful commercial deals.
Approximately 70% of your focus during Year 1 will be on commercial grower acquisition and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Pipeline Ownership
Own outbound prospecting, discovery meetings, paid pilot sales, and subscription closes
Manage sales cycles ranging from 4–9 months
Build and maintain a high-quality CRM pipeline from day one
Develop a target list of at least 80 named accounts during Q1
Create accurate forecasts and maintain strong pipeline discipline

Market Development
Build relationships with commercial fruit, citrus, and berry growers
Engage pack houses and exporters as strategic stakeholders
Drive adoption of paid, bloom-aligned pilot programs

Sales-Led Marketing
Produce customer-focused content including:
LinkedIn thought leadership
Webinars
Sales one-pagers
Grower education materials

Strategic Support
Support the CEO in expanding Reference Customer programs
Assist with partnership initiatives
Operate independently while leveraging limited CEO involvement where required

Critical Year-One Objective
Secure at least one signed citrus bloom paid pilot before the end of August 2026
Prepare the market for September October 2026 citrus bloom deployments

Required Experience
Essential
5–8 years of B2B sales experience within commercial agriculture
Demonstrated success selling to commercial fruit, citrus, or berry growers, pack houses, or exporters
Proven history of closing deals and generating new business
Experience building territories and pipelines from scratch—not simply managing existing accounts or teams
Strong CRM discipline and forecasting capability
Comfortable selling paid pilot programs and value-based commercial engagements

Compensation & Structure
We believe in full transparency.
• Independent contractor engagement
• 12-month service agreement
• Invoice via Personal Service Provider (PSP) or Pty Ltd
• Base compensation: R55,000–R60,000 per month (ex VAT)
• Uncapped variable earnings including:
Commission
Deal kickers
Annual revenue-based bonus
• No equity component

Performance Expectations
A formal 90-day performance review will take place at the end of October 2026.
Performance will be measured against clearly defined KPIs, including:

Pipeline development
Qualified opportunities
Pilot program progression
Revenue generation
Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ notice.
